Boca player tearfully accuses opponent of racist threat (Reuters)

BUENOS AIRES, Apr 15 (Reuters) - Colombian defenderBreyner Bonilla of Boca Juniors wept in front of the cameras onThursday as he indicted an opponent of the extremist insult during anArgentine joining match.

Bonilla was surrounded by maestro striker Esteban Fuertesand alternative Colon players during Boca’s 3-0 defeat last weekafter the Colombian brought down midfielder Facundo Bertogliowith the studs-up tackle which earned him the red card.

Bonilla told radio broadcaster TyC Sports which Fuerteshad threatened him, saying: “I’m going to break your bones youblack shit, go behind to Africa.”

“One feels unfitness when people contend we wish to hurt anadversary. We’re all South Americans as well as I came here to work,not to rob someone,” added the 23-year-old as he wept.

Fuertes denied he had made the extremist acknowledgement to Bonilla.

“I’m surprised by all this,” he told TyC. “With Bonilla weclashed as well as exchanged words during the match but at no time didI call him ‘a black’. (Boca’s Paraguayan defender Claudio)Morel is the witness because he was right next to me,” the37-year-old said.

The Argentine Football Association was unable to provideimmediate comment.
